Three Ways To Give Through Your Will Or Trust

REQUEST OF RESIDUARY ESTATE:  You can gift the remainder of your estate after specific gifts have been made to family, friends or other charities.

“All of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal property of whatever kind and wheresoever situated, which I may own or have the right to dispose of at the time of my decease, I give, devise and bequeath to the Forked River Mountain Coalition, Inc., located at P.O. Box 219, Forked River, NJ 08731, to be used for its general purposes for conservation and education.”

REQUEST OF A PERCENTAGE:  You can gift a percentage of your entire estate or a percentage of the residue of your estate after specific gifts are made.

            “Of all the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, I give, devise and bequeath _____% to the Forked River Mountain Coalition, Inc., located at P.O. Box 219, Forked River, NJ 08731, to be used for its general purposes for conservation and education.”

SPECIFIC REQUEST: You gift a specific amount or asset through your will.

            “I gift, devise, and bequeath to the Forked River Mountain Coalition, Inc., located at P.O. Box 219, Forked River, NJ 08731, __________(specific dollar amount, percentage or personal property) __________________________ to be used for its general purposes for conservation and education.”

The Forked River Mountain Coalition is prepared to accept gifts of personal property (such as cash or securities), but not real property or gifts in kind. We will, however, accept donations of vacant, undeveloped land. In cases where bequests have been made in the form of other real estate or gifts in kind (artwork, jewelry, etc.), we ask the executor to sell the property and send us a check for the proceeds.  We are not in a position to auction or display real and/or personal property.
